At the age of 17, Larry started her career as a vocalist with a wild bunch of musicians, mixing hip-hop, funk, ska, rock'a'billy and grunge. Later on, she discovered her unbridled passion for Jazz music at the Jazzstudio in Antwerp, where she finetuned her vocal skills under the tutelage of renowned Jazzmen such as Chris Joris, Ernst Vranckx and David Crane. She was influenced by Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, amongst others, which she integrated in her natural bluesy interpretations. Her career took a decisive turn when she was chosen to become the new lead-singer of the very popular Belgian funky bluesband 'Blue Blot'.
But that was then... This is now: her first solo album 'Just call me ... Larry' has recently been released and many journalists claim it to be the beginning of a very promising career. Groovy jazz with a touch of blues, pop and bossa nova: that's Larry....Make Larry Playlist
