Fancy seeing you here. How can we help? Franco sounds? Movie scores? Dubstep? House music, perhaps?

The weekend has landed; these are your soundtracks...

French Music of 50's

How does SMP spend its weekend? We like nothing better than sitting at home, on our bean bags, stroking our beards, smoking a pipe and wearing exotic hats, while listening exclusively to 50s French music. If you want to try Le SMP Weekenderrr, give this playlist a whirl. It's really very good.

PLAY IT AGAIN, SAM - Famous Movie Songs & Melodies

While we're in a cultural mood, this next playlist is a must-hear for cinephiles. We cant recommend the PLAY IT AGAIN, SAM series highly enough – each playlist is meticulously crafted by movie buff  El Mestre. "In this personal playlist," he says, "you have got more than 260 songs or melodies belonging to well known movies." Henry Mancini, Nino Rota, Ennio Morricone, John Williams, John Barry and more.

Beatport Dubstep Top100 19.03.12

Next up, a playlist for the dubstep heads among you. If you want to soundtrack your weekend with the biggest bassy tunes around at the movement, this is the mixtape for you –a selection of tracks topping the Beatport dubstep chart this month. Avicii, Datsik, Excision and Downlink, Rusko, Skrillex & The Doors, Foreign Beggars, Datsik & Infected Mushroom and more.

We round things off, as always, with some dancefloor-destroyers. A few mind-benders. A gaggle of sub-troublers. Lots of party-starters. And lashings of hands-in-the-air tunes. Deep house vibes brought to by Solomun, Matthias Vogt, Butch, Move D, Benoit & Sergio and more.

Long live the mixtape!
