Zulu Winter, the band NME describes as “Music that shimmers like a sky full of fireworks", have uploaded some playlists here at SMP. So, if you want to find out which artists influence one of the most exciting new acts of 2012, check these out...

Zulu Winter: Wills Playlist

We begin with Will Daunt (vocals, guitar). Will's gloriously eclectic playlist includes everyone from Toots & The Maytals, Leonard Cohen and ZZ Top, to Field Music, The Horrors and PJ Harvey. Brilliant playlist.

Zulu Winter: Guys Playlist

Guy Henderson (drums) is next up. Guy's into Four Tet, Caribou and Tom Vek, as well as Ghostface Killah, GZA and Pharoah Sanders. Almost three hours of top tunes on this one.

Zulu Winter: Henrys Playlist

Henry Walton (guitar) cites influences as diverse as Isaac Hayes, Spiritualized, Tom Waits, Richard Hawley, Scott Walker and The War On Drugs in this 21-track look at his tastes.

Zulu Winter: Iains Playlist

Not only has Iain Lock (bass) got one of the most impressive moustaches in music today, he's also got a pretty nifty record collection. Gil Scott-Heron, Beastie Boys, Jeff Buckley, Talking Heads, Tune-Yards, Pixies, Pulp and more.

Zulu Winter: Doms Playlist

Dom Millard (keyboards) also has impeccable taste: Lee "Scratch" Perry, Ennio Morricone, The xx, Massive Attack, Public Image Limited and Stereolab make up the numbers on his playlist.

Many thanks to [PIAS] for these playlists. Check out more from them here

Long live the mixtape!
