Following on from the "produced by Kanye West" playlist we did, comes the next in the series, and Just Blaze seemed like the perfect follow up.
Like Kanye, Just Blaze first came to real prominence whilst in-house producer at Roc-A-Fella. Blaze's production style, which was, like Kanye's, built largely on 60s/70s soul samples and sped up vocals, came to define the Roc-A-Fella sound in the early to mid 00s and produced such hits as Jay-Z's classic "Girls, Girls, Girls", Cam'ron's "Oh Boy", Fabolous' "Breath" and Kanye's "Touch the Sky".
Over the years, Blaze has worked with most of the big names in the RnB/Hip-hop premier league including, The Game, Usher, Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes and DMX as well as Roc-A-Fella mainstays like Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek and Freeway.
More recently, his work with on Eminem's "Recovery" record (including the hit "No Love") and T.I. (the huge international hit single "Live Your Life" feat Rihanna) has without a doubt confirmed him as one of the top forces working in urban music today.
