Seasons #6, Autumn 2011

For this season's playlist, as the nights draw in and everything seems to slow down, we go a bit downbeat and glitchy. That's not to say it's a dull selection, nope, there are plenty of and spine-tingling moments (well, I speak for myself), but the emphasis is on thoughtful electronica, with a headphone focus, rather than dancefloor destroyers.

Track highlights, to name but a few:

Flume's catchy Sleepless (from a certain surf brand video)

Falty DL taking Holy Ghost down a peg or two

Bombay Bicycle Club's Jack Steadman doing a brilliant downtempo re-rub of his own tune

Newcomer Subeena's is-it-house-is-it-dubstep moody masterpiece Wrong For Me

Photek back on fine form remixing Karin Park so well

The schizophrenic VIP mix of Starkey & Charli XCX's oh-so-good Lost In Space

Kelley Polar's addictive dancepop remix of Crystal Fighters

Jazz-piano-house from Marlow & Comixxx

Lovebird's very Little-Fluffy-Clouds-esque Running Backwards

Jazz-trumpet-post-dubstep (new genre alert) from Jack Sparrow doing Submotion Orchestra

Ghostpoet remixed to driving tech house perfection by Quest

In fact, there were just too many good tunes to cram into this playlist, so it runs at about 40 tracks rather then the usual 30 or so. Enjoy.
