Orange Sunshine Progressive Rock Jazz Fusion

Back in the early 80's I was studying bass with Washington bass guru, Steve Wolf who largely introduced me to Jazz fusion through seminal records like Bitches Brew and explaining from his perspective the evolution of both rock-n-roll from Cream and the Yardbirds through guitarists like John Mclaughlin. Here are some of the best of this music and beyond with some particular attention to bassists such as Jaco Pastorius, John Patitucci, Andy West, Jeff Berlin, Stanley Clarke, Victor Bailey, and Victor Wooten anchoring stellar musicians such as Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Carlos Santana, Steve Morse, Bela Fleck, Joey DeFrencesco, Ronnie Laws, and Joni Mitchell among others. Enjoy!
